Meet our leaders. Global Assistance Polska’s management team includes leaders with more than 25 years of experience in insurance and assistance.

Michal Makarczyk is the creator and president of Global Assistance Polska. He joined the VIG Group in 2011. Since then, he has built two key structures, namely VIG Ekspert responsible for claims handling of property and life claims for Vienna Insurance Group companies, and just Global Assistance Polska.
Since the beginning of his career, he has been involved in the insurance industry and the area of claims handling and assistance. He started in 1993 at Warta as a claims clerk, and managed claims handling at groups such as ERGO, Generali and VIG, where he transformed claims handling structures and introduced new and innovative process solutions. From 2019 to 2023, he served as a member of TUW TUW’s Management Board responsible for motor insurance and claims handling.
He is an expert in the areas of assistance, claims management and insurance. His skills include business development, negotiation and enterprise risk management.

Michał Krzyżanowski is Member of the Management Board for Sales and Marketing at Global Assistance Polska. He joined the company in May 2020.
He has been involved in the assistance industry for years. He has participated in the development of operational methods, network of service providers and pioneering projects. Prior to joining Global Assistance Polska, he worked at Inter Partner Assistance for 22 years, where he held various positions, including Director of Business Development in Poland, Central and Eastern Europe as well as Director of Product Development. He was also associated with GESA Assistance Polska S.A. and Gras Savoye Polska / Pol-Assistance.
He is an expert in assistance and insurance, and his skills include strategic client management, business and product development and strategic negotiations.

HISTORY
We have been present on the Polish market since 2018 to provide services for both VIG Group companies and external partners from various industries. From the beginning, we have prioritized time and resolution while controlling the cost of the services we offer. As a result, we handle 425 thous. cases per year, and this number is growing steadily.

Global Assisance
Global Assistance is a well-known brand in Europe. It belongs to Vienna Insurance Group, one of the largest and oldest insurance groups operating in Austria and Central and Eastern Europe. The Global Assistance Group has been in existence since 2014 and, in addition to Poland, is present in Bulgaria – from where North Macedonia and Kosovo are supported, Serbia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania – from where Moldova is supported, Slovakia, Georgia and Lithuania, from where all the Baltic countries are handled. Companies operating under the Global Assistance brand perform assistance services for VIG Group companies. In selected countries, they also provide services to external partners.
